So, here’s the deal. The pants. My love affair with these dumb things started when I stumbled upon this pair at Anthropologie. After spotting the ($200!) price tag, I knew it was a love that may never come to fruition. Until… A few days later. As I was cleaning out my closet, I pulled out my gorgeous neon j. Crew pants with the unsightly stain on the butt.
*Lightbulb!*
I could attempt to dye the hot-coral gems! If all goes well, I might even achieve the cotton candy look of the coveted Earnest Sewn jeans. Not only would I save the pre-existing pants, but I could fill the bubble gum colored, pant-shaped hole in my heart. Since at the time this blog was just a twinkle in the screen of my MacBook, I didn’t document the DIY tie-dye process. Luckily, I found this awesome step-by-step tutorial for ya’. This process is almost exactly the same as the one I used, but instead of bleach, I used Dylon fabric dye in Ocean Blue. Enjoy!
